MUSCAT – In a public awareness message, the municipality said smoking in enclosed public spaces can adversely affect children, older adults and people with respiratory conditions, underscoring the importance of maintaining smoke-free environments to protect public health.
The municipality urged the public to follow guidance signs and all applicable regulations, refrain from smoking in enclosed public places, and use designated smoking areas where they are available.
“Clean air is a right for everyone,” Muscat Municipality said, calling on members of the public to support efforts to create a safer and healthier environment for all.
