MUSCAT: Rescue teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Department in Al Dhahirah Governorate responded to a report of a child falling into a well inside a house in the Al Batinah area of Wilayat Ibri.
According to the CDAA, specialised water rescue teams were deployed to the scene and successfully retrieved the child from the well. However, authorities confirmed that the child had already passed away before being recovered.
The Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority did not disclose further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
