Nottingham: Chasing a challenging target of 202, India were bowled out for just 76 runs in 11.4 overs as England’s pace attack, led by Jofra Archer and Josh Tongue, tore through the batting line-up with hostile spells.

Archer returned figures of 3 for 29 in three overs, while Tongue delivered a match-winning performance with 4 for 28 in four overs. The duo struck early inside the Powerplay and never allowed India to recover.

Only four Indian batters managed to reach double digits as the innings fell apart under pressure. The 125-run defeat marked India’s worst loss in T20 Internationals in terms of margin of runs.

With the win, England took a 2-0 lead in the series, leaving India with serious concerns over their batting performance ahead of the remaining matches.
