WASHINGTON – The U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet said in a statement that search and rescue operations are ongoing for the missing aircrew member.
The statement added that there are currently no indications that the incident was caused by hostile action.
It further confirmed that the helicopter was operating as part of the aircraft carrier strike group led by the USS George H.W. Bush.
