MUSCAT : The municipality, in cooperation with the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), conducted a survey to measure satisfaction among customers and stakeholders, with results showing higher ratings across most service categories.
According to the findings, satisfaction with procedures for submitting requests increased to 82 percent in the second quarter of 2026, compared with 75 percent during the same period in 2025.
Satisfaction with the municipality’s electronic services also improved, rising from 81 percent in 2025 to 87 percent in 2026, while satisfaction with services provided through the mobile application increased from 77 percent to 80 percent.
Public services, including cleanliness, waste management and sanitation operations, recorded a rise in satisfaction levels from 73 percent to 82 percent.
The survey also showed stronger approval of service delivery centres, covering factors such as accessibility, parking availability, waiting times, employee service, transaction completion and payment options. Satisfaction in this category increased from 77 percent to 87 percent.
Other areas also saw positive growth, including public facilities and services in parks, markets, beaches and sports venues, where satisfaction rose from 67 percent to 76 percent.
Satisfaction with landscaping and afforestation services improved from 81 percent to 83 percent, while municipal slaughterhouse services increased from 79 per cent to 82 percent.
Road-related services, including paving, maintenance, lighting and rainwater drainage, recorded a smaller increase, rising from 70 percent in 2025 to 72 percent in 2026.
