ISLAMABAD – Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Tahir Andrabi said in a statement that the negotiations will restart in the middle of next week following the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two sides last Wednesday.
According to the statement, the memorandum provides a framework for negotiations to reach a final agreement within 60 days, with the possibility of extending the timeframe if required.
The announcement follows a lengthy round of talks held between US and Iranian representatives in Switzerland last Sunday. The discussions began with meetings between political delegations before continuing through specialized technical and professional teams.
