MANILA – Philippine police said two suspects have been arrested in connection with the attack, while investigators continue to determine the motive behind the shooting inside the government-run school, which has more than 1,500 students.
While gun violence is a recurring issue in the Philippines due to the widespread availability of unlicensed firearms, shootings inside schools remain relatively uncommon.
