MUSCAT – According to a statement from the CPA, the court imposed a total fine of RO 1,000 on the establishment and its representative and ordered them to bear the criminal litigation expenses. The civil claim was referred to the competent court for further consideration.
The case stemmed from a complaint filed by a consumer who had contracted the company in Rustaq to supply and pour ready-mix concrete for the construction of his house.
The company failed to complete the agreed works and delayed implementation despite commitments made under the contract.
The authority said an amicable settlement had been reached between the parties; however, the supplier failed to fulfil its obligation to deliver the agreed works within the specified timeframe, prompting legal action.
