MUSCAT – The project is part of government efforts to promote comprehensive development and utilize the natural and coastal resources of Musandam’s wilayats, while strengthening tourism, recreational and service infrastructure in the region.

The waterfront development is considered one of the strategic projects aimed at enhancing Bukha’s appeal as a tourist destination, supporting the local economy, improving the quality of life for residents and visitors, and boosting tourism activity in the governorate.

Mohammed bin Saif Al Jabri, Assistant Director General of Musandam Municipality, said the project will serve as an integrated tourist destination for visitors to Bukha and Musandam, contributing to attracting beachgoers, stimulating economic and social activity, and providing facilities for sports and healthy lifestyles.

He explained that the project includes a range of facilities and services, including an 800-metre waterfront promenade, commercial kiosks, a boat rental facility, a modern restaurant overlooking the sea, a children’s play area, decorative water features, landscaped green spaces, shaded seating areas and supporting service facilities.

Al Jabri noted that the project represents a major step in developing tourism and recreational facilities in Musandam, enhancing the coastal landscape and providing an attractive environment for marine activities and community events.

He added that the waterfront project will support tourism development in the governorate by creating new investment opportunities, supporting small and medium-sized enterprises through commercial facilities, stimulating economic activity and increasing tourism and local spending.
