MUSCAT – Prashant Pise, India’s newly appointed Ambassador to Oman, has taken a key diplomatic step before beginning his assignment in Muscat after receiving his letter of credence from President Droupadi Murmu.
The Embassy of India in Muscat announced on social media that Ambassador-designate Pise called on the President of India to receive the official credentials for his posting to the Sultanate of Oman.
Pise, a 1995-batch Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer, was appointed as India’s next ambassador to Oman by the Ministry of External Affairs in May. He succeeds outgoing Ambassador G.V. Srinivas, who has served in Muscat since 2024.
