ZURICH : FIFA said the revised framework was developed after consultations with player representatives and in alignment with European Union legislation. The governing body said the changes are intended to create a more transparent, objective and fair system for regulating international transfers.

According to FIFA, the new structure will be based on enhanced social dialogue between player unions and clubs, aimed at establishing a collective framework that regulates working relationships in professional football, with FIFA acting as the guarantor of the system.

The organisation added that the reform could pave the way for the first international collective agreement of its kind in global sport, designed to balance the rights of players with the interests of clubs while reflecting evolving legal standards.
