MUSCAT : Spanish football legend Andrés Iniesta has chosen Oman as a destination for family relaxation, sharing images from his stay in Musandam just days after being appointed head coach of UAE-based Gulf United FC.
The former Barcelona and Spain midfielder posted photographs on Instagram from his stay at the luxury Six Senses Zighy Bay resort in Musandam, describing the visit as “family time and relaxation in Oman.”
“Family time and relax in Oman. Thank you for your love,” Iniesta wrote in the post.

The images showcased the dramatic mountain-and-sea landscape of Musandam, one of Oman’s most popular high-end tourism destinations, known for its secluded beaches, rugged fjords and luxury hospitality offerings.
Iniesta’s visit comes shortly after Gulf United announced the 2010 FIFA World Cup winner as its new head coach, marking the beginning of his managerial career following an illustrious playing career spanning more than two decades.
Widely regarded as one of the greatest midfielders in football history, Iniesta won multiple UEFA Champions League and La Liga titles with Barcelona and played a pivotal role in Spain’s golden era, scoring the winning goal in the 2010 FIFA World Cup final.
