MUSCAT — The warning, effective from 4 am on June 8, 2026, covers Masirah Island, coastal areas of Al Wusta Governorate, Duqm, and mountainous regions of Dhofar Governorate, with moderate wind activity expected in the affected areas.
According to the alert, blowing sand may lead to a significant reduction in visibility, particularly in desert and exposed regions, increasing the risk of dust storms.
Weather conditions are expected to remain generally clear across most governorates, with a possibility of cloud formation over parts of the Hajar Mountains during the afternoon.
