MUSCAT : The ministry advised the public not to make price the sole factor in purchasing decisions, stressing that product quality plays a critical role in ensuring safety and reliability.
In particular, consumers were cautioned against buying electrical transformers and connectors from unknown sources or products that do not comply with approved standards and specifications.
The warning comes as rising temperatures place additional strain on electrical systems, increasing the likelihood of malfunctions in low-quality or non-compliant equipment.
