MUSCAT : According to the authority, judicial officers at the Authority’s department in Al Dakhiliyah identified the violations during routine inspections of tire retail outlets. Investigations revealed that the manufacturing dates displayed on the tires did not match the information stated on the Gulf Standard Specification labels.

The tyres were marked as having been manufactured in 2026, while the specification labels indicated a manufacturing date of 2024. Authorities found that the labels had been attached to facilitate the sale of the products, constituting a violation of the Consumer Protection Law, its Executive Regulations, and relevant decisions governing tire sales.

As a result, all non-compliant tyres were confiscated and legal procedures were initiated against the violating establishment.
