Washington: Reports from US media indicated that President Trump did not reach a decision regarding a possible agreement with Iran following a meeting held in the White House Situation Room on Thursday.
The development comes amid reports that Washington and Tehran are nearing a preliminary agreement that would extend a ceasefire for 60 days and pave the way for a fresh round of talks between the two countries.
In a significant signal of easing tensions, President Trump stated that the United States would lift the naval blockade imposed on Iran, a move widely seen as an effort to create favorable conditions for a broader agreement.
