MUSCAT – According to the forecast for Wednesday, May 20, 2026, skies will be mainly clear over most governorates, while Dhofar Governorate is expected to see clear to partly cloudy conditions.
Authorities said there is a chance of low clouds or fog forming over parts of South and North Al Sharqiyah, Al Wusta and Dhofar, which may further reduce visibility in the early morning hours.
Dust flows are expected over coastal areas of the Sea of Oman, while dust will also be raised over desert and open areas in Al Buraimi, Al Dhahirah, Al Dakhiliyah, North and South Al Batinah, Al Wusta and Muscat governorates.
The meteorology department warned that both fog formation and dust activity may significantly reduce horizontal visibility in affected areas.
