BEIJING : Air Force One landed in the Chinese capital ahead of two days of high-level talks between the leaders of the world’s two largest economies. The summit, scheduled for Thursday and Friday, is expected to focus on a wide range of issues including trade tensions, Taiwan, artificial intelligence, and the ongoing US-Israel war involving Iran.

The Trump-Xi summit comes at a time of growing geopolitical and economic uncertainty, with both nations facing increasing friction over technology, global influence, and regional security matters. Analysts say the discussions could shape the direction of US-China relations in the months ahead.
The meeting was originally expected to take place earlier this year but was delayed due to the escalation of the Iran war. The visit is being closely watched globally as Washington and Beijing attempt to navigate strained ties while maintaining dialogue on key international concerns.
