MUSCAT – The initiative is part of ministry’s efforts to enhance consular services, support digital transformation goals under Oman Vision 2040, and simplify procedures through service digitisation.
The ministry said the expanded service will be available from May 14, 2026, in Singapore, Malaysia, China, Hong Kong, the United States, Brazil, and Iraq.
A second phase will take effect on May 21, 2026, covering Lebanon, Syria, Palestine, and Tunisia.
According to the ministry, the service eliminates the need for individuals to visit Omani diplomatic missions in those countries to complete authentication procedures, allowing applications to be processed electronically.
“It is worth mentioning that the electronic authentication service was launched on January 23, 2025, and so far, includes the countries listed on the following link: https://www.fm.gov.om/ar/45007.
