MUSCAT – As temperatures continue to increase across the Sultanate, the ROP stressed the importance of carrying out essential vehicle checks to prevent breakdowns and reduce the risk of accidents during the summer season.
The Directorate advised drivers to regularly inspect their vehicle batteries, check coolant levels, ensure air conditioning systems are functioning efficiently, and monitor tire pressure, which can fluctuate due to extreme heat.
Motorists were also encouraged to park vehicles in shaded areas whenever possible to protect cars from excessive heat exposure and maintain vehicle performance.
