KATHMANDU – The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal said the flight, arriving from Istanbul with 277 passengers and 11 crew members, experienced a sudden fire in a rear tyre immediately after touching down on the runway. Fire and rescue teams responded promptly and brought the blaze under control.

Relevant authorities have launched a technical investigation into the incident, with preliminary indications suggesting a possible malfunction in the braking system during landing.
