MUSCAT : The seminar addressed the importance of dialogue and understanding among nations in crisis management and the enhancement of security and stability, as well as the role of diplomacy in fostering cooperation and mutual respect among peoples.
The seminar covered several topics related to the role of diplomacy in containing international tensions and the importance of mediation and peaceful solutions in building relationships based on cooperation and mutual respect.


His Excellency Liu Jian, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China, noted that his country believes in the importance of dialogue and consultation in addressing international issues and supports efforts aimed at promoting peace and shared development among nations.
He highlighted that his country’s vision is based on four main principles: promoting peaceful coexistence among nations, respecting the autonomy and independence of states, adhering to the rule of international law, and linking the paths of development and security to achieve sustainable regional stability.
He affirmed that the Sultanate of Oman and the People’s Republic of China share similar diplomatic philosophies and stances, pointing out that Oman’s foreign policy is founded on a profound and consistent vision based on establishing friendly relations with all countries of the world, alongside its enduring commitment to enhancing regional and international peace and security.
The seminar featured extensive discussions and an exchange of views on the challenges facing diplomatic work amidst current international changes, as well as ways to enhance international cooperation to achieve stability and sustainable peace.
Participants in the seminar emphasized the importance of strengthening dialogue and understanding among nations as the optimal way to address crises and conflicts, while underscoring the need to respect the principles of international law, the autonomy of states, and collective action to achieve global security and stability.
The seminar was attended by a number of diplomats, academics, and those interested in political affairs and international relations.
