MUSCAT : His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi held private talks at Al Barakah Palace on Thursday, discussing regional developments and efforts to address the Iranian crisis through dialogue and diplomatic channels, according to Oman News Agency (ONA).
The two leaders reviewed a number of political, economic and security issues affecting the region and exchanged views on ways to reach a final agreement on the U.S.-Iran crisis through understanding, negotiations and diplomatic efforts, ONA said.
The discussions come amid heightened regional tensions and ongoing international efforts aimed at reviving diplomatic engagement over Iran-related issues.

The meeting also reaffirmed close ties between Oman and Egypt and their shared support for political solutions to regional conflicts.
