MUSCAT : In a public advisory, the ROP stressed the importance of crossing roads only at designated pedestrian areas and remaining alert to surrounding traffic at all times.
The guidelines instruct pedestrians to obey traffic signals, ensure the road is clear before crossing, and avoid distractions such as using mobile phones or other electronic devices while walking.
Pedestrians were also advised to wear light-coloured or reflective clothing at night to enhance visibility for drivers.
