LONDON : Her Highness Sayyida Basma Al Said delivered a powerful virtual address at the inaugural Arab Women’s Week, organized by Dr. Asma Ounnas and the Arab Entrepreneurs Board, held from April 14–18, 2026, at Mansion House in London.

As the first and only Omani speaker at this year’s edition, Sayyida Basma joined as a featured speaker in the Women’s Section. Due to regional circumstances, she participated virtually, offering a timely perspective on connection, unity, and the growing importance of mental health in times of uncertainty.

During her address, she highlighted the urgent need to make mental health support more accessible, particularly for individuals and communities affected by ongoing challenges. She shared how her clinic and team from Whispers of Serenity, alongside Not Alone Campaign — her wider mental health awareness efforts, has relaunched the free support messaging hotline to provide immediate psychological support reaching individuals both across the region and globally.

Sayyida Basma also recognized the vital role of women worldwide, acknowledging their resilience, leadership, and influence in shaping stronger, more inclusive societies. Her contribution reflected the core mission of Arab Women’s Week in advancing women’s empowerment, leadership, and global impact.

With over 27 years of experience, Sayyida Basma is a leading Mental Health Clinical Specialist, founder of Whispers of Serenity Clinic, and the first Omani appointed as Vice President (Eastern Mediterranean) at the World Federation for Mental Health (2025–2027). She is an internationally recognized speaker, having delivered four TEDx talks and more than 2,000 workshops globally.

Her participation brought a grounded and human-centered dimension to the forum, reinforcing the role of mental wellbeing as essential to sustainable progress and effective leadership.

It is a privilege to contribute to a platform that brings together impactful voices and meaningful dialogue.
