Oman signs RO 51 million investment deals for shrimp and seabass farming projects

Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources has signed investment contracts worth more than RO 51 million to implement four aquaculture projects aimed at strengthening food security and supporting economic diversification.

MUSCAT : The projects include shrimp farming initiatives in the Governorates of South Al Sharqiyah and Al Wusta, as well as European seabass farming in the Governorate of Muscat.

Officials said the agreements represent a step toward enhancing the aquaculture sector, diversifying income sources, and increasing the contribution of non-oil industries to the national economy.
