MUSCAT : The agreement aims to fund initiatives emerging from development workshops for civil society organisations, including the Strategic Planning for Social Work Initiative and the Excellence and Innovation Award Initiative for Civil Society Organisations.
It was signed on behalf of the Ministry by His Excellency Sheikh Rashid bin Ahmed Al Shamsi, Undersecretary for Family and Community Development Affairs, and on behalf of OQEP by Eng. Mahmoud Abdullah Al Hashmi, Chief Executive Officer of the company.


The agreement comes within the framework of strengthening the capabilities of civil society institutions and enabling them to enhance efficiency and fulfil their developmental role in social work.
The Ministry of Social Development said the partnership reflects efforts to reinforce institutional cooperation between the public and private sectors in supporting initiatives with sustainable social impact. It also underlined its commitment to developing social work tools in line with the aspirations of comprehensive development in the Sultanate of Oman.
