MUSCAT : The agreement was signed by His Excellency Said bin Abdullah Al Balushi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Labour for Human Resources Development, and Dr. Said bin Hamad Al Rubaie, Vice Chancellor of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
The programme focuses on enhancing integration between academic education and vocational pathways, enabling smoother transitions through bridging programmes between vocational colleges and the university system.
It also aims to promote joint scientific and applied research, facilitate the exchange of academic, technical, and administrative expertise, and maximise the use of infrastructure and equipment from both institutions to support training initiatives and community services.
The partnership will further support students’ academic continuity, particularly those facing medical or social challenges, in line with applicable regulations, while strengthening institutional collaboration to meet shared educational and developmental objectives.
