MUSCAT : The project, led by GFCL EV, will focus on producing active anode materials used in lithium batteries, a critical component in electric vehicles. It will be developed on a 186,000 square metre site allocated within the free zone.
OPAZ said the investment aligns with national efforts to advance future industries, enhance the competitiveness of economic zones, and support the growth of EV-related supply chains.
The project is also expected to reinforce the Salalah Free Zone’s position as a regional industrial hub, while contributing to Oman’s broader strategy to promote a green economy and sustainable development.
