Muscat: Set to be held in China in July, the announcement marks the beginning of an intensive preparation phase, as the national team gears up for one of Asia’s key youth handball tournaments. The squad will commence its initial training camp at the Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex from April 23 to 25, where players will undergo daily training sessions focused on evaluating both technical skills and physical fitness.
The preliminary list reflects a strong representation from local clubs, underlining the depth of emerging talent within Oman’s handball circuit. Al-Seeb Club leads the list with 11 players, followed by Muscat Club and Nizwa Club contributing seven players each. Al-Oruba Club rounds out the squad with five players.
The coaching staff is expected to gradually narrow down the squad in the coming weeks, selecting the final lineup that will proceed to advanced training camps and participate in friendly matches.
