MUSCAT – The Authority’s department in South Al Batinah Governorate said the decision was taken in coordination with the Public Prosecution after the establishment was found to have violated provisions of the Consumer Protection Law.
The case stems from complaints filed by a number of consumers who said they had contracted the office for travel ticket bookings and tourism packages, paying agreed amounts in advance. However, the company allegedly failed to deliver the services as promised, prompting customers to demand refunds.
The CPA said the case was referred to the Public Prosecution after legal procedures were completed. Following investigations, a decision was issued to temporarily shut down the establishment until a final court judgment is delivered.
The Consumer Protection Authority reaffirmed its commitment to monitoring markets and enforcing regulations, urging businesses to comply with the law and warning that legal action will be taken against violators without leniency.
