Two expats arrested in Oman’s South Al Batinah with large quantities of crystal meth and marijuana

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) announced the arrest of two Asian nationals in South Al Batinah Governorate on drug-related charges.

MUSCAT : In a statement, the ROP said the suspects were apprehended by the Department of Combatting Drugs and Psychotropic Substances under the South Al Batinah Governorate Police Command.

Police reported that the individuals were found in possession of large quantities of illegal substances, including marijuana, crystal methamphetamine, hashish, and psychotropic pills. The drugs were intended for both trafficking and personal use, according to officials.

Legal proceedings against the suspects are currently underway, the ROP added.
