TEL AVIV : The Israeli army has declared it will persist with its military operations against Hezbollah, signaling no easing of its campaign. Lieutenant General Eyal Zamir, Chief of Israel’s General Staff, stated that the army would “continue to strike the terrorist organisation Hezbollah and seize every opportunity,” according to an official military statement.
Zamir emphasized that Israel would not compromise on the security of its northern residents, adding that operations would continue “without pause.” The remarks underscore Israel’s firm stance amid escalating cross-border tensions.
Meanwhile, the humanitarian situation in Lebanon is deteriorating rapidly. Lebanon’s Health Minister Rakan Nassereddine reported that hospitals across the country are struggling to cope with the surge in casualties.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, Nassereddine said medical facilities are “overcrowded with martyrs and the wounded” following Israeli airstrikes on Beirut and other regions. The increasing number of casualties is placing immense strain on Lebanon’s already fragile healthcare system.
