Muscat: In a heartwarming display of community appreciation and cross-border solidarity, **Elite Group Oman organized a prestigious ceremony to honor Shahzad Khan , the “Son of Pakistan” whose heroic actions saved the lives of two Indian nationals during recent devastating floods in Barka.
The event was graced by the Ambassador of Pakistan to the Sultanate of Oman, H.E. Dr. Syed Naveed Safdar Bokhari, who personally lauded the 25-year-old expat for his extraordinary courage.

A Heroic Act Remembered

Shahzad Khan, a worker from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, became a viral sensation after a video showed him braving fierce flood currents to reach a submerged vehicle. While onlookers watched in terror, Shahzad used stones to smash the car’s windows, pulling two trapped Indian nationals to safety just moments before the vehicle was overwhelmed.

“I didn’t think about nationality or religion. I saw lives in danger and did it for humanity,” Shahzad shared during the ceremony.
