Oman opens applications for second cohort of Nomou Microsoft startup accelerator

The Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology has announced the opening of applications for the second cohort of the Nomou Programme – Microsoft Accelerator for Startups - with submissions open until April 12, 2026.

MUSCAT: Launched in collaboration with Microsoft, the programme aims to support and accelerate the growth of startups in Oman by leveraging advanced artificial intelligence technologies and digital tools.
The initiative offers a range of benefits, including free Azure credits, access to cutting-edge AI solutions, expert guidance to overcome business challenges, and go-to-market support to help startups scale their operations.

According to the ministry, the programme is open to Omani-registered companies operating in the ICT sector that are developing proprietary software-based products or services. Eligible startups must be for-profit entities, registered under the Nomou Programme, and should not have received more than $10,000 in free Azure credits.

The ministry noted that educational institutions, government entities, consultancies, agencies, and cryptocurrency-related businesses are not eligible to apply.
