MUSCAT : Mahas Industrial City succeeded in attracting a number of investment projects during 2025 across sectors including packaging, beverages, and construction industries, with a total investment volume exceeding RO 4.18 million. These projects are spread across a total area of 109,910 square metres, reflecting growing investor confidence in the industrial zone.
According to Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (Madayn), the total number of projects and contracts concluded in Mahas Industrial City by the end of 2025 reached around 20, with cumulative investments exceeding RO 45.74 million. These projects currently employ approximately 247 workers.
Mubarak bin Salem Al Ghailani, Acting Director General of Mahas Industrial City, stated that several development initiatives are underway as part of the 2026–2030 five-year plan. Among the key projects is the Madayn Pioneer Complex, which will include 10 ready-made factories across 12,000 square metres, with an investment of RO 1.5 million. The initiative aims to support entrepreneurship and strengthen small and medium enterprises.

Additional projects currently under implementation include the first phase of a security monitoring system, installation of surveillance infrastructure, and landscaping works at the city’s entrance. Authorities are also progressing with expansion plans to increase the industrial city’s footprint, providing more space for investment, logistics, and services.
In 2025, the industrial city also completed major infrastructure works valued at RO 5 million, covering an area of one million square metres. These included the construction of an 80-metre entrance bridge, development of main and internal roads, installation of 100 lighting poles, and establishment of essential utilities such as water and sewage systems. Key facilities include a 2,000 cubic metre water tank, a 500 cubic metre sewage collection tank, and comprehensive drainage and service networks designed to meet international standards while ensuring environmental sustainability.
The city also saw the launch of cleaning, maintenance, and operational services, including electrical and mechanical upkeep, alongside the activation of electricity supply across all facilities.
Supporting local businesses, Mahas Industrial City awarded tenders exceeding a quarter of a million Omani riyals to SMEs holding the Leadership Certificate. Projects to enhance flood protection infrastructure and install a welcome landmark sculpture at the city’s entrance were also completed.
Located in Khasab, Mahas Industrial City is the largest industrial zone in northern Oman. Its strategic position overlooking the Strait of Hormuz enhances its role in supporting industrial, logistics, and tourism-related investments.
