MUSCAT : The programmes target vital sectors including industry, tourism, agriculture, logistics, and mining, and are part of the Chamber’s broader strategic direction focused on improving the business environment, expanding economic diversification, and strengthening partnerships for development across governorates.
Designed to equip business owners and professionals with practical and applied knowledge, the initiatives will combine theoretical learning with field visits and applied reporting, with the goal of enhancing competitiveness and institutional performance within the private sector.
His Excellency Faisal bin Abdullah Al Rawas, Chairman of the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated that the programmes reflect the Chamber’s pivotal role in empowering the private sector as a key driver of sustainable economic development. He emphasised that investing in human capital remains essential to boosting competitiveness and efficiency across Omani institutions.

He added that the initiatives are aligned with national priorities, helping to unlock investment opportunities and contribute to the growth of the national economy in line with Oman Vision 2040.
Meanwhile, Zakaria bin Abdullah Al-Saadi, CEO of the Chamber, highlighted that the programmes aim to enhance workforce capabilities and enable businesses to effectively contribute to national development goals. He noted that the initiatives will also focus on developing technical and leadership competencies, particularly within small and medium enterprises, to meet future economic demands.
Each programme has been tailored to address sector-specific needs. The Industrial Excellence and Export Programme will focus on boosting production efficiency, adopting advanced technologies, and expanding Omani exports globally. The Sustainable National Tourism Leadership Development Programme aims to support entrepreneurs in eco-tourism and heritage tourism while strengthening digital marketing capabilities.
In agriculture, the Model Farm Management Programme will promote sustainable practices, efficient resource utilisation, and increased investment in modern farming. The Logistics and Supply Chain Management Programme will enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve delivery systems using advanced technologies.
Additionally, the Effective and Sustainable Mining Project Management Programme will focus on improving operational efficiency, promoting environmental sustainability, and ensuring safety standards within the mining sector.
