TEHRAN : In a recent statement, Abbas Araghchi clarified that reports suggesting Iran had declined engagement with Pakistan were inaccurate. He stressed that the Iranian government remains “deeply grateful” to Pakistan and has never refused to visit Islamabad, pushing back against what he described as misrepresentation by sections of the US media.
Taking to social media platform X, Araghchi reiterated that Iran’s primary focus remains on ending what it has termed an “illegal war” imposed on the country. He emphasized that Tehran is not concerned with narratives being circulated but rather with securing concrete outcomes.
“What we care about are the terms of a conclusive and lasting end to the illegal war that is imposed on us,” Araghchi said in his post.
