DUBAI : According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, debris from intercepted projectiles fell on the Habshan gas facilities in Abu Dhabi, prompting a temporary suspension of operations. Authorities confirmed that a fire broke out as a result of the incident but was swiftly contained, with no injuries reported.
The Habshan facilities, a critical component of the UAE’s energy infrastructure, were secured as emergency teams responded to the situation. Officials reassured that safety protocols were effectively implemented to prevent escalation.
In a related development, Kuwait reported that an Iranian attack targeted a power and water desalination plant. The strike resulted in material damage to certain components of the facility, though no casualties were recorded.
