MUSCAT – The closing ceremony will be held tomorrow, April 2, at Al Fuleij Royal Camel Corps’ racetrack in the Wilayat of Barka. It will be organized by the Diwan of Royal Court.
During the concluding day, 6 rounds will be staged. Among those, the fifth round is designated for the category of Al Hawal camels, during which the winner will bag His Majesty the Sultan’s Camel Racing Cup.
The races will be accompanied by Omani heritage displays and camel-back demonstrations by members of the Royal Camel Corps, celebrating the nation’s cultural traditions.
The camel festival was established to reflect His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik’s commitment to preserving Omani heritage and promoting the breeding of purebred Omani camels.
