TEHRAN : In a firm statement, Pezeshkian emphasized that Iran would not hesitate to retaliate against any attacks impacting its critical infrastructure or economic assets, signaling a potential escalation if hostilities intensify.
He also delivered a pointed message to countries in the region, urging them not to allow their territories to be used as operational grounds for conflict. “If you want development and security, don’t let our enemies run the war from your lands,” he said, echoing sentiments expressed by several Iranian military and political officials in recent days.
While Iran maintains that its actions are limited to targeting United States interests in the region, officials from Gulf countries have strongly challenged this assertion. They have reported that civilian infrastructure, including hotels, airports, and residential areas, has also been affected by recent strikes.
