MUSCAT : Two drones were downed in Oman’s Sohar on Friday, leaving two expatriates dead and others injured, according to an Omani security source.
Authorities said one of the drones fell in the Sohar Industrial Area, resulting in the deaths of two expatriates and injuries to others. The second drone came down in an open area in the wilayat without causing any injuries.
Specialised teams responded to the incidents and are continuing to deal with the situation, while investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the drones.
