Tehran: A spokesperson for Tehran’s Khatam al-Anbiya military command headquarters said Iran would respond by targeting economic and banking centres connected to the U.S. and Israel across the region.
The warning comes after an administrative building associated with Bank Sepah, one of Iran’s largest public banks with historical links to the military, was reportedly struck overnight in Tehran. The incident was reported by the semi-official Mehr news agency.
Speaking to state media, military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari accused what he described as the “terrorist U.S. army and the Zionist regime” of attacking the bank following what he called a failed campaign against Iran.

He said the strike on the banking facility was an “illegitimate and uncommon action” and warned that such actions would force Iran to retaliate by targeting economic centres and banks connected to the United States and Israel across the region.
Zolfaqari also issued a public safety warning, urging people in the region to remain at least 1,000 metres away from banks amid the escalating tensions.
