MUSCAT– His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik received a phone call on Thursday from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez to discuss the rapidly evolving situation in the Middle East following recent US–Israeli attacks on Iran, according to a statement from Oman News Agency.
During the call, the two leaders reviewed the latest regional developments and their potential repercussions for the security and stability of the Middle East and the wider international community.
They stressed the importance of intensifying regional and international efforts to contain the crisis, halt the ongoing escalation, and prevent the conflict from expanding further.

The discussion comes amid rising tensions across the Gulf region following a series of military exchanges linked to the broader confrontation involving the United States, Israel and Iran.
Oman has repeatedly called for restraint and diplomacy, positioning itself as a key regional advocate for dialogue and de-escalation.
