MUSCAT : Air India said it has extended the temporary suspension of all its flights to and from Middle East destinations until 2359 hrs (IST) on March 3, 2026, citing the continued closure of multiple airspaces across the region.

In a travel advisory issued on X, the Tata Group-owned carrier said it is “closely monitoring and assessing the evolving situation in the Middle East” while prioritising the safety and security of its passengers and crew.

The airline confirmed that while it has commenced scheduled operations to its destinations in the United States, Canada, Europe and the United Kingdom, flights to and from the Middle East will remain suspended due to ongoing operational constraints linked to regional airspace restrictions.

Air India expressed regret over the inconvenience caused to affected passengers and said it is offering full refunds or complimentary rescheduling options. The carrier added that it remains committed to assisting customers with alternative arrangements during the disruption.

Passengers have been advised to check their flight status on the airline’s official website or contact its 24/7 customer support centre for updates.

The extension comes as aviation operations across parts of the Gulf and wider Middle East continue to face disruptions following escalating regional tensions, leading to widespread cancellations and rerouting of international flights.
