MUSCAT – The calls took place with His Excellency Ayman Safadi, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Jordan; His Excellency Espen Barth Eide, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway; Her Excellency Yvette Cooper, representing the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office of the United Kingdom; and Her Excellency Kaja Kallas, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission.
According to Oman’s Foreign Ministry, the discussions focused on the serious and rapidly evolving developments in the region. The ministers exchanged views on ways to contain the escalation and stressed the importance of restraint.
The talks also underscored the need for renewed dialogue and diplomatic engagement to resolve the ongoing conflict involving the United States and Israel on one side, and the Iran on the other.
