MUSCAT — The Embassy of India in Oman has issued an advisory to Indian nationals residing in the Sultanate of Oman, urging them to avoid unnecessary travel and remain vigilant in view of the current regional situation.
In a statement dated February 28, 2026, the Embassy advised all Indian citizens in Oman to “take due care, remain vigilant, and follow safety guidelines and advisories as and when issued by the Omani authorities and the Indian Embassy.”
The advisory comes amid heightened tensions in parts of the region, prompting diplomatic missions to step up precautionary guidance for their citizens abroad.

The Embassy said Indian nationals in Oman may contact its offices for any queries or assistance. It shared a toll-free number (8007 1234), a WhatsApp helpline (+968 9828 2270), and official email contacts for consular support.
Officials emphasised the importance of relying on verified information and adhering strictly to local authority instructions.
Oman has not announced any specific emergency measures, but authorities continue to monitor regional developments closely.
