MUSCAT : High-energy encounters, towering sixes and packed stands marked another exciting round of matches at the annual PSC Ramadan Cricket Tournament at the PSM ground, where cricket fans turned up in large numbers to witness nail-biting finishes and explosive batting performances.
The festive atmosphere extended beyond the boundary ropes, with spectators enjoying traditional Pakistani dishes while children took part in games organised by PSC for young participants at the adjacent basketball court.
In one of the standout performances of the tournament so far, Raheem stole the limelight for Pakistan XI with a blistering 89 off just 24 balls, smashing 11 sixes and five fours against Al Haikal. Backed by loud cheers from the crowd, Pakistan XI posted a competitive total of 125 runs, with Rana Naeem contributing 34. However, it was Raheem’s power-packed innings that defined the match.

In the second fixture, All Brothers secured a thrilling last-over victory against Muscat Luck. Muscat Luck had earlier posted 104 runs, setting up a tense chase. All Brothers held their nerve, reaching the target in the final over thanks to a quickfire 58 by Muzahir Raza and a valuable 27 from Muntazir Zaidi.
Three more matches played the following day continued to draw strong crowds, with supporters chanting slogans and applauding a series of towering sixes.
In the first match of the day, Rana Qamar XI set a target of 108 against Indus XI, powered by a brilliant 50 from Faisal. In response, Indus XI’s Masoor Mazher produced a match-winning knock of 73 off just 21 balls, steering his side to victory and earning the Man of the Match award.
The much-anticipated clash between Michael XI and Rahat Computers turned out to be a one-sided affair, with Michael XI cruising to a comfortable win. Obaid led the charge with a rapid 51 off 22 balls and was named Man of the Match.
In the third encounter, MCC Al Maqar managed only 77 runs in their allotted eight overs against Meerath XI, with Shoaib scoring 29 off 14 balls. Meerath XI chased down the target in style, losing just one wicket, as Hussain’s 33 guided his team to a nine-wicket victory.
