TEHRAN : Iran has closed its entire airspace until further notice following Israeli strikes, escalating an earlier decision to suspend flights for six hours, state media reported on Saturday.

Majid Akhavan, spokesperson for Iran’s Civil Aviation Organization, said in an interview with Mehr News Agency that “the entire country’s airspace has been closed until further notice.”

The move comes amid heightened regional tensions after Israel launched attacks against Iran, raising concerns about potential escalation and the safety of civilian aviation across the Middle East.
