VIENNA : Beate Meinl-Reisinger, Austria’s Foreign Minister, described the developments as “more than just worrying” and emphasised the country’s stance: “We reiterate our strong condemnation of the recent decisions and measures taken by the Israeli government in the West Bank and urgently appeal to Israel to reverse these steps.”
The Austrian Foreign Ministry confirmed that the statement was announced at the United Nations headquarters, condemning unilateral Israeli actions aimed at expanding its presence in the West Bank. Participating countries also criticized Israel’s proposal to facilitate settlers’ access to land in the occupied territory.
